Farmers State Bank recognizes our customer’s expectation of financial privacy. Preserving our customers trust is one of the core values of our institution. It is Farmers State Bank’s policy to implement procedures to ensure the confidentiality, secrecy and integrity of information we collect. We will not share customer information with a third party unless the customer has authorized us to do so, or as allowed by law to a company such as credit reporting agency.
Customer information will be collected in order to better serve our customers. The information will be used responsibly in order to provide our customers with benefits, including fraud prevention, improved products and services to comply with laws. We will hold any personal medical information about our customers confidential and will not use it for marketing purposes or in making credit decisions.
A notice regarding our practice of using personal information responsibly and protecting it will be given to each of our customers at least annually.
Our employees are held to the highest standards of conduct in ensuring the confidentiality of customer information. Informational meetings will be held to ensure our employees know and understand how to deal with confidentiality to all customers.
It is our policy to maintain accurate information and respond in a timely manner to our customer’s request to change or correct their information. A combination of safeguards is in place to protect customers against the criminal use of their information and to prevent unauthorized access to it. The bank’s security policy and the microcomputer policy are both written with this in mind. The objectives of both policies are to:
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information.
- Protect against an anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information.
- Protect against unauthorized access t or use of such information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any customer.
The information security program will be designed to control identified risks, commensurate with the sensitivity of the information as well as the complexity and scope of activities.
